Whiteboards
A whiteboard is an infinite canvas for working through an incident with your team: what you saw, what you think, and what you ruled out.
On the canvas
- Sticky notes, text, shapes and frames.
- Arrows and connectors between any two items.
- Move, resize and arrange freely; pan and zoom with a trackpad, mouse or fingers.
Each project can have as many boards as you like. Boards save as you work, and each item saves on its own, so two people editing different items never overwrite each other.
Send to Whiteboard
Charts, issues, sessions, players, logs, traces and detections across the dashboard have a Send to whiteboard button. It adds a snapshot: the data as it looked at that moment, with a link back to where it came from. Snapshots don't change as new data arrives, so a board still tells the same story next week.
Traces sent to a board are drawn as a node graph, with each span's duration on its edge.
Notes on charts
Pin a note to a point on any chart: a deploy, an outage, a fix. Notes stay anchored to their timestamp and show up for everyone on the team. Charts on a whiteboard take notes too, pinned to points in the snapshot.
Privacy
Whiteboard snapshots are kept until you delete them. When a player's data is erased, snapshots that show that player or their sessions are removed from every board.
